HOW WE WORK
The editorial policy of Future of Hospitality: how we write hospitality news, answers and whitepapers, our sources, the use of AI, how quotes are checked and how to ask for a correction.
Future of Hospitality is published by The Journey Collective. Alon Shkuri is the editor and responsible for everything on this site, including the newsdesk.
Our hospitality news is based on announcements from hotel groups, hotels and suppliers: their own newsrooms and press releases. Every story links to its source.
Stories are drafted with AI from that source. Before a story is published, a script checks that every number and every company name in it also appears in the source, and stories that fail are not published. Not every story is read by a person before it goes live.
The section “What it means for hoteliers” is our interpretation, not the company’s. Press photos are credited to the company; where there is none we use an illustration and label it as AI-generated.
Quotes on our answer pages and in our whitepapers are taken word for word from the episode transcripts, with the moment in the episode. Transcripts are machine-made, so spoken language and small errors remain. Where we leave words out, we show “...”. An automated test checks every quote against the transcript.
See a mistake? Contact us with the link and what is wrong. We correct factual errors as soon as we can and do not hide that a story was changed.
Sponsors and partners do not decide what we cover in the news. Where a series or page has a sponsor, the sponsor is named on that page.
Every Tuesday we send one topic from the show: the key ideas, the episode behind it and one line worth remembering. Two minutes to read, no spam.
