Privacy and cookies

This privacy statement covers a site run by The Journey Collective LTD, HaNofar 2, Ra'anana, Israel, the company behind the Future of Hospitality. Questions about your data, or a request to see, correct or delete it: alon@guestjourney.ai.
Israel has an adequacy decision from the European Commission, which means personal data may be transferred there under the same protection as within the EU.
What we collect, and why
- Contact form
- Your name, email address, company if you fill it in, and your message. We use it to answer you. The message is emailed to us through Resend and a copy is kept for one year so an email failure cannot lose it.
- Roundtable request
- Your name, your mobile number with country code, your email address and the dates you choose. We also keep which channel you got the link through: a short code in the link that says nothing about you. We use this to put the roundtable together and to get in touch with you, by phone, WhatsApp or email. We email you a short message at that address to say we received your request. The roundtables are hosted by the team at After The Table, the sponsor of Future of Hospitality. Your request is therefore emailed through Resend to us and to Gaby Branco and Ingmar at After The Table, who get in touch with you. They may look up your profile, for example on LinkedIn. We keep a copy for one year. We only share your number with other guests if you give your consent. To prevent abuse we keep a value derived from your IP address for one hour and a value derived from your email address for one day, never the addresses themselves.
- Newsletter
- Your email address, and only if you enter it yourself. It goes to Kit, the platform we send the newsletter with. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
- Statistics
- Google Analytics, and only if you allow statistics in the cookie banner. It tells us which episodes and articles are read. If you refuse, it is not loaded at all.
- Visitor counts
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without following you across sites. Because it cannot recognise you, it needs no consent.
- Links in our email
- If we emailed you an invitation and you open the link in it, we record that the link was opened, when, and which page it was. The link carries a code that stands for you in our own list, so we can see who is interested. No cookie is placed and nothing is stored on your device. Tell us at the address below and we will stop it for you.
- Your cookie choice
- We record that a choice was made, what it was, on which page, and your IP address with the last part removed so it cannot be traced to you. This is the proof the law requires that consent was given. Kept for one year, then deleted automatically.
Video
Episodes play through Bunny Stream. The player only loads when you press play, so that press is your consent for that one video. The still image you see before pressing does come from Bunny's network, which means your IP address reaches them on every page with a thumbnail.
Two places embed a player from Wistia or Bunny directly in the page. Those stay closed until you allow embedded video, either in the banner or with the button shown in their place.

- Hosting and protection of this site. Sees every request.
- Resend
- Sends contact form messages to us, roundtable requests to us and to After The Table, and the confirmation email to you.
- After The Table
- Sponsor of Future of Hospitality and host of the roundtables. Receives your roundtable request by email and gets in touch with you about the table.
- Kit
- Sends the newsletter.
- Analytics, only after consent.
- Bunny Stream
- Video hosting and the still images.
- Wistia
- Two embedded players, only after consent.
How long we keep things
Contact messages: one year in our own storage. The email itself stays in our mailbox as normal business correspondence.
Roundtable requests: one year in our own storage. The email itself stays in our mailbox, and in that of the After The Table team, as normal business correspondence.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Cookie choice: six months in your browser, after which we ask again. The record of the choice: one year.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to its use. Write to alon@guestjourney.ai and you will hear back within a month.
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.
If you think we handle your data badly, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
