Marriott International has agreed with Townhouse Hotels to add eight hotels and over 700 rooms to its portfolio in the Netherlands. Six properties are expected to join Series by Marriott, which makes this the brand's introduction to the Dutch market. The other two are set to be affiliated with Tribute Portfolio, Marriott's collection of independent hotels.

The hotels sit in five cities: Amsterdam, The Hague, Breda, Maastricht and Eindhoven. For Marriott, the deal is slated to mark its entry into Maastricht and Eindhoven.

The Series by Marriott group includes Townhouse Amsterdam WTC (84 rooms, rebranded from Hotel Qbic WTC Amsterdam), Townhouse The Hague (88 rooms), three Maastricht hotels with 82, 55 and 79 rooms, and Townhouse Breda, rebranded from Hotel Keyser, which with 106 rooms is the largest Series by Marriott hotel in the portfolio. The ALD Hotel The Hague (91 rooms) and Hotel Mariënhage Eindhoven (134 rooms, in a former monastery complex) are expected to join Tribute Portfolio.

"This agreement represents a significant milestone for Marriott International in the Netherlands," said Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa at Marriott. Rick de Jonge, CEO of Townhouse Hotels, called it "a defining moment for our company". Townhouse Hotels was founded in Maastricht in 2008 and operates ten hotels. As of Q2 2026, Marriott has over 30 properties in operation in the Netherlands across 12 brands.
