Sunday PropTech, a hospitality ownership, investment and asset management company, has agreed to acquire 100% of Fletcher Hotels from Egeria and Fletcher management. The transaction will close once the usual conditions are met. Rothschild & Co advised Fletcher.

Founded in 1997, Fletcher is the largest hotel group in the Netherlands, with 170 hotels: 130 own Fletcher hotels and 40 Fletcher Partner hotels across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. It employs approximately 5,800 people and runs a portfolio of three- and four-star hotels in coastal, rural and urban locations, aimed at the value-for-money leisure market.

Over the past decade Fletcher grew through a buy-and-build strategy, completing around 60 add-on acquisitions and expanding into Germany. Sunday PropTech says it intends to build on that platform through active asset management, technology and brand expertise, and continued investment in the business.

"Fletcher has built a strong business and a well-recognized brand in the Netherlands," a Sunday PropTech spokesperson said. Mark Wetzels of Egeria pointed to investments under its ownership in the organisation, hotel renovations and the technology platform.
