The Mindaro, a 90-room JdV by Hyatt hotel, has opened minutes from Portland International Airport in Oregon, Hyatt said on 6 November 2026. Guestrooms measure nearly 500 square feet each, and the design draws on the forests and landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

The hotel sits within what the release calls The Mindaro Campus, which also includes the 112-room Hyatt House Portland Airport, 73 of whose rooms are apartment-style Kitchen Suites. The campus adds Jawfish Restaurant, open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and handling catering across the site, and The Hollow Café + Bar in the lobby. Jawfish also hosts Le Petit Chef, an animated dinner show with prix fixe menus described as a first for Oregon, running Thursday to Sunday.

The Mindaro Event Center offers more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 5,300-square-foot ballroom, the divisible Willamette Room of more than 2,000 square feet and two boardrooms. Hotel amenities include a 24-hour airport shuttle, a 24-hour H Market, EV charging, room service, guest laundry, complimentary grocery shopping and dog-friendly stays.

Vesta Hospitality is behind the project. "Together with Hyatt House, Jawfish and The Mindaro Event Center, we've created a hospitality campus that brings together lodging, dining and events in one connected experience," said Rick Takach, chairman and chief executive officer of Vesta Hospitality. General manager Phillip Wilson said the aim is for guests to leave "having experienced something memorable and distinctly Portland."
