Iberostar to reopen JOIA Rose Hall in Montego Bay after full renovation

Iberostar Group will reopen JOIA Rose Hall, its luxury, adults-only, all-inclusive beachfront resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on 1 December 2026 following a full renovation, according to the release. The company presents the project as a new chapter for its JOIA luxury collection segment.

The redesign was developed with architecture and interior design firm El Equipo Creativo and covers the arrival areas, lobby, staircase, solarium, poolside terraces and beachfront spaces. All 295 suites, including Butler, Swim-up and Penthouse Suites, have been reworked with private terraces, and 24-hour room service is offered. "This renovation goes beyond refreshing a resort," said Antonio Bauza, Global Brand Communications Director at Iberostar, describing the aim as creating "a more distinctive sense of place".

Food and beverage is a central part of the relaunch. The resort has nine dining venues, including five specialty restaurants, plus four bars. Concepts include the beachfront Oriole, GAIA House of Grill, the French brasserie Chez Charlie and Zázá, a Southeast Asian collaboration with chef Erik Bruner-Yang. The cocktail programme is led by Giacomo Giannotti of Barcelona's Paradiso, and music is curated by JOIA Music Curator Soledad Rodríguez, with live performances by local artists.

Other facilities include four pools, a spa, gym, tennis, pickleball, golf, a dive centre and beachfront meeting spaces. General Manager Thomas van Balveren said the goal is for guests "to feel the spirit of Jamaica from the moment they arrive".

The resort sits within the Iberostar Rose Hall Resort Complex alongside Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach. Through the strategic alliance between Iberostar Beachfront Resorts and IHG Hotels & Resorts, it is bookable on IHG.com and IHG One Rewards members can earn and redeem points there. Iberostar operates 26,800 rooms across more than 80 hotels in 13 countries.
