BWH Hotels has announced a corporate overhaul that brings more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands in 100 countries under a single global master brand, WorldHotels, and one loyalty programme, according to a release issued from Phoenix on 27 October 2026.
The company said its own research showed many travellers know only part of a portfolio that now spans luxury, boutique, upscale, extended stay and economy. Individual property identities, signage and flags will stay unchanged, while the WorldHotels platform is meant to widen discovery across the portfolio and strengthen direct guest relationships. President and CEO Larry Cuculic said the move should help its hoteliers compete globally while preserving the independence of the 4,000 hotels.
At the centre is WorldHotels Rewards, which merges Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards into one programme with 70 million members. It launches on 5 January 2027 with three streamlined tiers, and keeps status matching, member-only rates and points that never expire. Members keep the value of accumulated points. Further details are due on 16 November 2026.
The group has also launched a new website and a redesigned mobile app built around a proprietary discovery platform, drawing on more than 10,000 hours of input from hotel teams worldwide. The company said this should increase visibility and direct booking opportunities for owners.
Upscale and luxury properties will be grouped under WorldHotels Collection, split into six categories: Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, Crafted, Backdrop and Residences. Ron Pohl, president of WorldHotels Collection, said the platform gives owners access to the commercial power, technology and demand engines of a large network while keeping their own identity.
