BWH Hotels is bringing its more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands in 100 countries under a single corporate umbrella brand, WorldHotels, and a single loyalty programme, the company said in a release issued from Phoenix on 27 October 2026.
According to the release, the move is based on consumer research and guest feedback showing that many travellers know only part of a portfolio that spans luxury, boutique, upscale, extended-stay and economy segments. Individual hotel brand identities, signage and flags will stay unchanged. "We have the right hotel for virtually every travel occasion, but many travellers only know part of our portfolio," said Larry Cuculic, president and CEO of WorldHotels.
At the centre of the change is WorldHotels Rewards, which combines Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards into one programme with 70 million members, launching on 5 January 2027. It introduces three membership tiers while keeping status matching, member rates and non-expiring points, and members retain their existing point value. Further details are due on 16 November 2026.
The company has also launched a new website and a revised mobile app, built around a discovery platform drawing on more than 10,000 hours of insights gathered by hotel teams. WorldHotels said this is intended to increase visibility and direct booking opportunities for owners.
Upscale and luxury properties are now grouped in the WorldHotels Collection, with six categories: Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, Crafted, Backdrop and Residences. Ron Pohl, president of the WorldHotels Collection, said it gives owners access to "the commercial strength, technology and demand drivers of a large hotel network" while keeping local character.
