BWH Hotels has announced a company-wide transformation that places more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands in 100 countries under a single global master brand, WorldHotels, according to a release issued from Phoenix on 27 October 2026.
The company said the move is meant to raise awareness of its portfolio, make it easier for travellers and owners to understand, and speed up growth through one platform and expanded digital capabilities. Individual hotel identities, signage and existing brand flags will remain unchanged. "Many travellers are familiar with only part of our portfolio," said Larry Cuculic, president and CEO of WorldHotels.
Central to the change is WorldHotels Rewards, which combines Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards into one programme with 70 million members, launching on 5 January 2027. It introduces three simplified membership tiers while keeping status matching, member rates and points that never expire. Further details are due on 16 November 2026, the company said.
WorldHotels also said it has invested heavily in digital infrastructure, launching a new website and a redesigned mobile app. Both run on a proprietary search platform built on more than 10,000 hours of local insight gathered by hotel teams, aimed at improving discovery and direct booking opportunities for owners.
Luxury and upper-upscale hotels will be grouped into WorldHotels Collection, a platform for independent hotels with six categories: WorldHotels Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, Crafted, Backdrop and Residences. Ron Pohl, president of WorldHotels Collection, said the future of luxury hospitality "is not standardisation." The Residences category pairs private home ownership with hotel services, while Backdrop focuses on destinations with notable natural settings.
