BWH Hotels is bringing its more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands in 100 countries under a single master brand, WorldHotels, and a single loyalty programme, the Phoenix-based company announced on 27 October 2026.
At the centre of the change is WorldHotels Rewards, which combines Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards into one programme with 70 million members. It launches on 5 January 2027 with three simplified membership tiers, according to the release. The company said existing benefits such as status matching, member rates and non-expiring points will remain, and members keep the value of their current points. Further details are due on 16 November 2026.
The company said consumer research showed many travellers know only part of its portfolio, which spans luxury, boutique, upscale, extended-stay and economy hotels. President and CEO Larry Cuculic said the single brand gives the group a clearer way to tell its story while preserving the independence of its hotels. Individual property identities, signage and flags will stay unchanged, the release said.
WorldHotels has also launched a new website and a redesigned mobile app, built around a discovery platform drawing on more than 10,000 hours of analysis of data gathered from hotel teams. The aim, the company said, is to widen cross-portfolio discovery and increase direct booking opportunities for hoteliers.
Upscale and luxury properties will be grouped under WorldHotels Collection, with six categories: Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, Crafted, Backdrop and Residences. Ron Pohl, president of WorldHotels Collection, said the platform gives independent owners access to the commercial power, technology and demand drivers of a large network while keeping their local character.
