BWH Hotels has announced it is bringing more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands in 100 countries under a single global masterbrand, WorldHotels, along with one loyalty programme, according to a release issued from Phoenix on 27 October 2026.
The company said research showed many travellers knew only part of its portfolio, which spans luxury, boutique, upscale, extended-stay and economy segments. Individual property identities, signage and flags will stay unchanged. "We have a hotel for virtually every travel occasion, but many travelers only know a portion of our portfolio," said Larry Cuculic, President and Chief Executive Officer of WorldHotels.
At the centre of the change is WorldHotels Rewards, which combines Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards into one programme with 70 million members. It launches on 5 January 2027 with three membership tiers. The company said current benefits including status matching, member rates and non-expiring points are protected, and members keep their existing points value. Further details are due on 16 November 2026.
WorldHotels has also launched a new website and redesigned mobile app, built around a proprietary discovery platform drawing on more than 10,000 hours of insights from hotel teams. The company said this is meant to increase visibility and direct-booking opportunities for owners.
Upscale and luxury hotels will be grouped under WorldHotels Collection, with six categories: Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, Crafted, Backdrop and Residences. Ron Pohl, President of WorldHotels Collection, said the platform gives owners "access to the commercial power, technology and demand drivers of a major hospitality network" while keeping local experiences.
