BWH Hotels has announced an enterprise-wide transformation that places more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands in 100 countries under a single global masterbrand, WorldHotels, and one loyalty programme, according to a release issued from Phoenix on 27 October 2026.
The company said consumer research showed many travellers know only part of its portfolio, which spans luxury, boutique, upscale, extended-stay and economy segments. Individual property identities, signage and flags will stay unchanged. "We have a hotel for virtually every travel occasion, but many travelers only know a portion of our portfolio," said Larry Cuculic, President and CEO of WorldHotels.
At the centre of the change is WorldHotels Rewards, launching on 5 January 2027. It consolidates Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards, with 70 million members combined. The programme will have three membership tiers, and the company said current benefits including status matching, member rates and non-expiring points will be protected, with members keeping their existing points value. Further details are due on 16 November 2026.
WorldHotels has also launched a new website and redesigned mobile app, built around a proprietary discovery platform drawing on more than 10,000 hours of insights from hotel teams. The company said this is intended to increase visibility and direct-booking opportunities for owners.
Upscale and luxury properties will be grouped under WorldHotels Collection, with six categories: Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, Crafted, Backdrop and Residences. Ron Pohl, President of WorldHotels Collection, said it gives owners "access to the commercial power, technology and demand drivers of a major hospitality network" while keeping local experiences intact.
